Wow. We are finally here, at the final storyline of season 2. I would like to thank everyone who has been reading my episode reviews as well as the administrator, who is not only allowing me to write the reviews, but encouraging me and complimenting my work. Death Trap is an episode that I really loved, and like my reviews on Cat and Mouse and Bounty Hunters, this one is going to be extended.
Alright guys. Here is what everyone has been waiting for: Boba Fett. And if you are a die-hard fan of this super cool bounty hunter, the wait is worth it because I guarantee that you will not be disappointed. The action is great, even if it comes in only little bits at a time, and there are some very emotional moments that bring us back to Jango Fett, the coolest bounty hunter of Attack Of The Clones. We start off seeing a small shuttle approaching a huge Republic Warship. We get a closer visual of the shuttle and find that it is filled with teen cadets. Their captain is speaking to them, and we get one shot of a cadet whose face is quite dark and mysterious (I mean as in secretive and evil). Just a little thrown-in for all of you, all of the cadets, including the one we saw earlier (Boba) are voiced by Daniel Logan. They start walking down a hallway and Boba starts getting harassed by two other cadets. Cadet Jax walks up to Boba and stands up for him. Boba introduces himself as "Lucky" to disguise his true identity, and then the ship docks with the Warship. This is where things get really interesting. We meet the Admiral of the Warship (The Endurance) named Kilian and he gives them a chance to fire at some spare droids. When Boba steps up, you can see the droids blow up faster than you can count. Later on, Boba purposely gets lost from the group and we find out who had smuggled Boba onto the ship: Aurra Sing. I couldn't have been more excited when I heard this. Aurra is my favourite bounty hunter (Sorry, Bane) and she totally kicks butt. She gives him some data on his chronometer that will allow it to blow up. He heads over to Mace Windu's headquarters and proceeds with planting the laser bomb right in front of the door. He rejoins the group and when Mace gets to his quarters, he (thank god) is called right back to the bridge and instead a clone goes to put away the object Mace was holding. He dies instantly, and thus starts the investigation of the so called assassin. Now we see that Boba truly cares about the crew and only wants Mace dead. Aurra forces him to blow the core, killing about twenty troopers. Now, my job is to review these episodes, so I've done enough of the recap. Here are my thoughts on the episode.
The violent scenes were done very well and portayed casualties without letting us down. The music in the background was creepy and effective, and believe it or not, it was created especially for this trilogy of episodes. Now THAT shows dedication from the crew. I also liked the ending, when Aurra took off in the Slave 1 (I know, It's still working). This leaves us to wonder what this deadly duo is planning next.
