OMFG THE END IS JUST .... UNBELIEVABLE!!
22 January 2011 at 04:40
I cried of happiness... darth maul is backk!!!!
22 January 2011 at 05:51
OMG! DARTH MAUL! I realy hope he shows up and fights the jedi. The thing that bugs me is that asajj ventress goes missing after the battle of bozz pity, and by that time, she's back with dooku. How will they explain that!?
22 January 2011 at 06:09
OMFG... I cried... Not in happiness, but in sadness and pain. This is what it has ultimately come to. Filoni has not simply done a regular canon fuck up, but the master fuck up. The canon fuck up that all canon fuck ups are spawned from. This is completely ridiculous.
Not only does the episode become repetitive and cliche at the 1 quarter in point, the animation seemed to be really sloppy at points. The inclusion of Delta Squad was useless and was clearly only done for commercial reasons obviously (This entire series is practically for commercial reasons :/).
Also, am I the only one that thinks Obi-Wans intelligence has decreased greatly? he makes so many stupid remarks during this episode its ridiculous. "ITS IMPOSSIBLE, DARTH MAUL CANT BE ALIVE" WTF? so now apparently someone that looks nothing like Darth Maul and is a member of a widespread species is mistaken for Darth Maul? PHAIL.
Also, whats with this thing with Zabraks on Dathomir? they come from Iridonia for fucks sake. I understand it can be an expansion colony but seriously, why?, also, why does this episode try to change Darth Mauls home world to Dathomir? its Iridonia!.
Another mistake is, why is it, that on Toydaria, theres a landing pad, then a small walkway, then a doorway, and that leads straight into the damned throne room? what!. Nice protection you have there for your king. We also have no defence guns on that landing pad as well, making it even worse. Once again, it has been set up like this for the sake of Filonis lazy animators and his lazy writing.
Now, we come to the master fuck up. Darth Maul, being alive. HOW? WHAT? WHY?, thats not possible, hes dead, he gets cut in two, no matter what excuse you try to create Filoni, its still ridiculous. That is just pathetic, Darth Maul is dead, leave the films alone, please!. Also, WHY? out of all characters, WHY?, well, we already are aware you will happily fuck up things clearly explained and expanded on, just for the sake of continuing your shit fest of a series.
And so, I heartily end this review with, it was painful to watch this shit fest. This is by far one of the worst episodes made in this series. And I rate it! 1/10, yes, its that fucking shit. I advise you to stay clear of watching this episode if you havent seen it by now.
22 January 2011 at 06:49
WOAH! I didn't think it would be possible to create such a masterpiece, but how wrong I was! Just look at this stunning episode we have here! Such a powerful story and with some very believable action sequences. A round of merry applause to the crew of the Clone Wars for this spectacular piece of work!
The Sith training in the episode was very reminiscent of the Dagobah training in Empire, but the Filoni and the crew twisted it and made it SO much darker, having Savage electricuted every time he screwed up. The power of the blue lightning must've been so powerful that it gave Savage the energy to finally lift those stones out of the ground and gain a good understanding of lightsaber combat. I also liked what Dooku said in reply to Savage after he asked how to defend himself: "A wise master does not reveal all his secrets at once." Ha ha, definitely referring to Sidious' poor master. I do ask why Fireguy didn't post his opinion on the Sith training. If he would express his thoughts on these cool scenes, it might help us understand why he gave it such a low rating.
Anakin and Obi-Wan had some more fun dialogue featured nicely throughout the episode; my favourite conversation was the one about Anakin being popular with the ladies. Of course, that was almost immediately followed by the two getting nearly beheaded by the sword of a Nightsister. How ironic. Speaking of our commonly used duo, they had some really great scenes fighting off Savage, though I do bemoan that their first confrontation with the beast wasn't much (I don't quite know if it even qualifies as a lightsaber battle, they just jumped on him).
Ventress and Talzin, who were definitely the two main characters along with Savage in the first two episodes of this trilogy, surprisingly sat out a majority of this episode. Instead, Dooku and Savage were allowed the take the spotlight along with Ani and Obi, and what a powerful combination that was. We didn't really see Talzin or Ventress until the halfway point, which I was kind of disappointed at. Anywho, Ventress got her due in her fight(s) against Dooku, but Talzin was only really used for the end of the episode.
The battle scenes in this episode were intense! Or at least, the final ones were. As I previously mentioned, I wasn't that fond of the fight on Toydaria, as there wasn't much of one, but there was another flaw there. King Katuunko's death could've been really strong, but instead he just fell down after being choked. Oh well, he wasn't really worthy of a death scene like 99's, but what the heck. It would've still been nice. The final battle scenes were incredible: fast-paced, exciting, and on-the-edge-of-your-seat fun! Its remarkable what the Clone Wars producers can do when they're up for the challenge.
IGN Rating: 9.5/10 (OMG! OMG! No way, is this IGN's actual review!?)
My Rating: 9.6/10

OMG DARTH MAUL IS BACK AND THIS IS THE EPISODE DAT IV BEEN WAITING TO SEE WITH DELTA SQUAD :D!!!!
22 January 2011 at 08:42
Come on Fireguy think about this. Delta Squad was included at the last second, but they will come again. Obi Wans line about Darth Maul was because no Zabrack came close to the power Savage Opress so he could have mistaken him for Darth Maul. I'm not sure but I don't think the room with the king in it was the throne room because no other Toydarian ministers but you might be right. And Darth Maul being alive???? When I first heard this I was outraged. How can he come back but then I thought that Mother Talzin might be lying to him. I respect your opinion but consider these answers please.
22 January 2011 at 08:44
Note I'm not the Anonymous who posts the reviews
22 January 2011 at 09:35
Anon.
Delta Squad will probably never appear again due to the fact they would have been advertised into the floor by now if they where to do anything. And I really do hope they actually do leave such an awesome creation as Delta Squad alone.
Obi-Wans line about Darth Maul is stupid, as far as I know there have been many Zabrak Jedi and Sith, in fact one of Lord Kaans strongest members of the brotherhood of darkness was Zabrak, and he was infinitely more powerful than Maul.
Even if it was the minister thingy or whatever you say it could be, its still stupid that they put anything even slightly politically related right out in the open and really easy to breach. On top of that, it has already been displayed as the throne room in previous episodes and what would he be doing there if it wasn't the throne room at that time?
And lastly, Filoni isn't smart enough to come up with a plot twist like that. And I doubt thats going to happen, it will be something ridiculously outrageous, or its going to be Darth Mauls spirit (preys it is). That way I might almost turn a blind eye to it.
22 January 2011 at 10:50
They should of shown more on Delta instead for like 5 secs
22 January 2011 at 12:34
fireguy i get you, he has ruined a little bit of this , but also made it even better, its real hard to add in the clone wars and he did a great job, i beleive he is struggling fo rideas, and its most likely not darth maul as it has less horns and looks different, it could be an old jedi zabrak maybe that has turned bad. i think also mother talzin has sent savage to irodonia or whatever it is called to find the rest of his kind who are great warriors, and there might be someone who can really fight, and thats where darth maul was burried. somehow in some way darth maul can be alive, as he was in real connection to mother talzin, she is a great witch and could cure or maybe even do something like a big twist.
filoni has put great things into this and is real good in my opinion, but i think he is getting ready to do a great big episode so he is doing suckish and quick episodes to keep people wanting more to see what happens in a big battle maybe. i think darth maul is a flag for people who want to see the next one. just my opinion.
best episode ! my rating 9.7/10 by the way im ploodin224 and yeah its alright
22 January 2011 at 17:01
The first half was ridiculous and unnecessary. The second half, with the battle between Savage, Assaj, and Dooku, now that was good. Although Darth Maul does return, (Read the comics. EU is good stuff.) this is a bit soon. He shouldn't appear until the Galactic Civil War, and even then half of his body is mechanic. In all, the entire episode was rushed and could have been written better. Also, needs more Clones. They haven't appeared in forever.
All in all, I'd give it a 6/10. It had a good idea, but Filoni didn't exactly fulfill it's potential.
23 January 2011 at 02:30
^^^ Anon above me.
I have read tons of EU, Im one of the largest Star Wars fanboys out there, the darth maul coming back and fighting Obi-Wan is non-cannon. It was written as a what-if scenario. Also, thanks to your comment, I just noticed that the clones really havent been on screen much recently. And this is the damned CLONE wars lol
23 January 2011 at 04:25
i love that this episode gives a memory of the republic commando's u see scroch fixer and sev boss is not seen in this episode for long hes still in the ship with the jedi the only thing here is new is for the commando's and the double lightsaber the good thing at the end is that u must see the next or else u are lost so i actually want 1 thing more in these series the commando's more seen they are in action actually more then the jedi i have played the republic commando's and they are a good team the commando's are a highly trained unit they are 1 and all fight inside and outside
23 January 2011 at 06:37
Fireguy I will ask you to shut up, you claim to be one of the biggest star wars fanboys out there, right, then why are you attacking the clone wars like its some kind of gay porn movie? Anonymous you are great, your reviews are outstanding and I like your extremely positive attitude.
Fireguy stop watching the clone wars for god's sake.
23 January 2011 at 08:27
Starwars1fan1,
Thanks, buddy! Glad you like my reviews, I try to keep them honest while not provoking a huge argument between me and Fireguy. I do admit that his reviews can get a little out of hand and I regularly can't count the times he swears per review. And although I am somewhat happy that he's being honest with his opinion, him being honest normally doesn't guarantee us a very positive review. But all that aside, I'd like to start a new little subject. What does everyone think we'll get from the new Mortis trilogy? More action? Darker content? I'm sure the first episode of the ark, Overlords, will give us both!
23 January 2011 at 10:50
^^ Anon two up.
I am a Star Wars fanboy, but this isn't Star Wars, this is shit. I like real Star Wars, Star Wars produced by people who at least understand the basic concept of it. People who write enjoyable and inspiring stories, people who put effort into their work for the EU. This doesn't do any of that, this is just one big commercial attempt, Filoni has no respect for the previous Star Wars EU, he simply fucks everything up to continue his series of misshaped failures.
People like you annoy me, people who clearly aren't aware what the original Star Wars is, if you want to know what real clone wars is, watch the original, cartoon animated version. Far better and far more entertaining, it also created some pretty cool scenarios for the EU. Genddy and his team portrayed Star Wars far better than Filoni ever could, Filoni fails at even trying to meet the standards set by that.
Fail troll who does not respect opinions is fail
24 January 2011 at 18:22
Anonymous,
I agree, altar of mortis may be the best one yet!
The cartoon network trailer said it will reveal the origins of the force, and I cried wen I found we will see qui gonn, voiced by liam neeson himself!!!!!
Fireguy, if you call this sh**,THEN WHY ARE YOU WATCHING IT??????????????
I just cant understand you.
24 January 2011 at 19:10
I loved this episode, mainly because it concluded a dark trilogy I've been looking forwards to. The next saga features Sam Witwer as "Son" (Sam is Starkiller/Galen Marek from TFU saga.) I hope that we see more of Delta Squad, unlike Death Watch that never comes up again.
26 January 2011 at 07:04
^ Anon Two up
thanks for making me expect the next mortis thing to be shit as well. The origins of the force? looks like I was wrong about the maul thing being the largest fuck up... It has to be that. The origins of the force have already been explained in much better things. But obviously Filoni needs to fuck it up.
26 January 2011 at 08:25
Oh wow, Fireguy, I have one thing to tell you, this next three episode arc will blow the nightsister trilogy out of the water, and the nightsister trilogy is awesome
27 January 2011 at 08:05
Fireguy789... could you stop ruining this site by writing lame comments?!??! if you don't like the site, just go away!! And stop swearing!! Who agrees with me? :D
27 January 2011 at 10:42
I DO!!!!!!!:)
27 January 2011 at 10:47
ME TOO!!!!!!!:D
27 January 2011 at 12:14
i do too, i love anything to do with star wars, never read the comics cause i got no idea where to lookc things like clone wars and some of the fan made moives, the video games are great for me cause i get to know more, fireguy just stop watching it if you don't like it, a true star wars fan would enjoy anything to do with star wars even if it's different to the comics
27 January 2011 at 13:00
Anon above me,
So very true, us true Star Wars fans like anything to do with star wars unlike fireguy:(
28 January 2011 at 10:38
^ Oh boohoo, its the n00b parade.
Clone Wars is shit, I dont care what you fanboys say. Fanboys who have probably never seen any real star wars at all. I feel sorry for you basically.
I vote you all STFU and let people have opinions. I also bet the anon is the same person over and over again posting lol
28 January 2011 at 10:39
WHAT HE SAID^
28 January 2011 at 10:39
What fireguy said.
STFU
28 January 2011 at 10:40
That proves how easy it is, nice job having no life and agreeing with yourself ;)
28 January 2011 at 17:06
Fire, what confuses me is why you waste your time trolling about it, while you can just leave it alone.
29 January 2011 at 13:15
Fireguy789, I applaud you. Finally I'm not the only one who sees how off-canon this is. My review is pretty much a copy and paste of his. Again I applaud you.
1 February 2011 at 11:43
Clone Wars is not cannon, Its barely even Star Wars. Only casual fans take it seriously. George Lucas is a demented old man trying to kill his own creation by slowly making it inaccessable to anyone over 5 and pissin off all the serious fans hes made over the last 30 years. Its also obvious that this is an attempt at assinating the best of the expanded universe, which is loads better than this pile of shit. Read the heir to the empire trilogy and the courtship of princess leia then see which side of the fence you sit on.
2 February 2011 at 08:27
Its rather odd that they include Delta squad when any episode of Clone wars feteuring the Planet Mandalore has fucked up the cannon involving there inception. If you are going to write on a Star wars series then it helps to know something about the subject. Like the fact that Zabraks are not Nightsister males since the Nightsisters are in fact decended from jedi who survived a Massive starship crash on the planet some 600 years previously, the years may be wrong since its bin near 15 years since i looked at the material but i know nothing in this episode is right. does this show have no research department at all?
8 February 2011 at 20:42
My fav scene in the whole episode between anakin, obi-wan and the zabraks. LOL
Anakin- Don't worry, I won't start anything...
Obi-Wan- Let me handle negotiations.
[zabraks attack]
Obi-Wan- So much for not starting anything.
Anakin- Hey! Don't look at me!
Obi-Wan- Don't harm them!
Anakin- Don't tell me, tell them!
LOL Anakin and Obi-Wan are my favorite Jedi in this episode. XD
20 February 2011 at 06:51
YOU ALL SUCK. Except for you Eric. :P
3 March 2011 at 16:28
My guess is that Delta Squad has the bodies of the dead Jedi in those cases in the beginning of the episode when they're talking about what happened
5 March 2011 at 12:22
WE HATE YOU FIREGUY789 IF YOU HATE THE CLONE WARS SO MUCH STOP WATCHING IT YOUR MAKING EVERYONE DAY BAD EITHER MAKE YOUR COMMENTS POSITIVE OR STOP COMMENTING NO ONE CARES HOW MUCH YOU HATE THE CLONE WARS WE ENJOY THE EPISODES AND IT TAKES A TON OF WORK TO MAKE THEM SO BE QUIET REVIEWS ARE SUPPOSED TO ALSO BRING OUT DETAILS NO ONE THOUGHT OF BEFORE AND TO ADD TO THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE EPISODE ANYONE WHO AGREES WITH ME SAY SO ADMIN PLEASE BAN FIREGUY789

"Fireguy789Haters" (horrible name),
Dude, hello??? First off, we don't all agree with you and I would be thoroughly surprised if you got maybe one or two people to agree with you. We've all come to accept that Fireguy has been skeptical on the Clone Wars series and has always disliked Filoni, but I don't like where you're taking this. Fireguy doesn't swear nearly as much anymore and he's beginning to really enjoy this season, and I'm glad he doesn't force his reviews to be SO positive. He's entitled to his own opinion, man. And you're living in the past. This episode aired nearly a month ago and NOW you're commenting on it? Seriously, that's just ... well, stupid. Please don't name a commenter like that. "Fireguy789Haters" that's just WAY insulting. Fireguy, please continue your reviews.

As to Fireguy789Haters, writing in caps makes you look SOOOOO much tougher doesn't it :P
15 March 2011 at 17:16
the battles in this episode are sooo BRUTAL! King Katuunko (the Toydarian from the first episode) was choked to death by Savage Oppress, while be held down by Obi-Wan and Anakin. Then they trail him to Dooku's ship where Ventress and Savage clash with Dooku. Ending the duel with Savage turning against them both and then Ventress and Dooku escape, to fight in a vent-looking area and leaving Savage to face Obi-Wan and Anakin for the second time. All he basically does is charge and then Obi-Wan and Anakin are against the wall. And then the scene with Ventress and Dooku fighting. Dooku could have just killed her but instead talked and gave Ventress enough time to deflect his blow and escape in an escape pod. Then it showed Savage, Obi-Wan and Anakin fighting in a similar vent-area, with Savage taking down a battle droid in the process. And then they basically leave Savage to handle the whole army of droids (super battle droids, battle droids, destroyer droids) and fails. Savage escapes, Obi-Wan and Anakin also getting away. The whole conflict was sooo BRUTAL. A murder to one of the first characters introduced in the Clone Wars... wow... this was my reveiw on the episode.
30 June 2011 at 04:34
you are all a bunch of fuckin cridics also OMFG that was awesome i wounder if darth maul is back and shown in the 4th season
25 August 2011 at 05:07
