Didn't like this one.
This three-part series was dragging on too long; and the ending seemed rushed with no action. When all the 'force wielders' died at the end, it was as if there was no point in these three episodes. Nothing changed. I personally did not enjoy this one, but the other two were relatively good.
All in all, more clones please. This was probably like the eighth straight episode without a good battle scene.

um hello. I know that this is completly random, but does anyone go onto the lucasarts website and play the online 'beta' version of lego star wars 3?
If any one does, can you please hint on how to get commander cody? I apoligize if this seems stupid to post this on a website that has nothing to do with lego.

I think the humorous thing about the episodes is how everyone has contests on who can kiss its ass the most. I mean seriously. If I write a bad review, everyone starts bashing me because I DIDNT like it. Its my opinion for goodness sake. I dont care how many people bash me.
And for those who always ask "well if u hat3z teh seereez so much why doz u watch itz?" I watch it because its Star Wars, its part of my favourite line of films/expanded universe, some people will tell me I HAVE to like it because its Star Wars, well guess what, I dont. Ive always been skeptical with most of this series. I also watch it because occasionally someone does a really good job on these episodes (examples, Kamino episodes, Mandalore plot and Rookies where all incredible episodes). Also, WTF is with this disrespecting the crew thing? I couldn't care less.
Anyway, now that I have put my logic forward, onto the review.
This episode was a semi-disappointing one, after a great first 2 thingys to this story arc which I enjoyed (especially the first one which had good atmosphere). This one was really anti-climatic, there was no epic climax or something. Nothing changed, they all died and nothing changed. The only thing that changed was my emotion when the son died, because I went "damn you Filoni for killing that guy who had a great voice actor and character".
Also, the showing Anakin the future thing is pointless, am I the only one that views it as put in clearly so clips of Anakins future could be put in a trailer in hopes of bringing the large amount of skeptics to watch this episode and give the series another try?. Seriously, its the definition of pointless if I ever saw it.
I cant think of much more to say, it was just... An Anti-Climatic mess. Disappointing, purely disappointing.
My rating: 2/5, sorry people, I really thought I would get to give another good review of these one day, but guess it ended after 2 episodes.
Right whats next *sees the tarkin episode trailer* OH NO! PLEASE GOD NO! NOOOOOOO!!!

Lord Mysterio,
I do play the Lucasarts beta version of Lego Clone Wars, and I already have Cody, but I unfortunately don't remember where I got him. I am SO sorry this doesn't help, but try to think of a planet that's signifigant to something Cody has done. This trick has helped loads of times and I hope I can be of more use later. In case you didn't know, here are the codes for all of the "secret" characters.

Hello all,
Sorry for such a late review, but I was SO busy with work and it feels like ages since I've checked the site again. In fact, while I finished my review, the comment said: Must be at most 4,096 characters long. Oh come on! Totally unfair! So I am forced to split my review in two: darn it! I don't blame the admin, as he's done a great job with the website, but it would be a little nice to be capable of writing a longer review.
Note: Fireguy, I totally understand where you are coming from. This episode lacked quite a bit it could've had, but it did meet MY standards. That is why I believe that having both a mainly-critical reviewer and a mainly-positive reviewer on the site is great. Please do continue posting your reviews. It's good to have fans know two different opinions. :D
Now for the review:
Well, well, well... what do we have here? No, not intentionally copying Aurra Sing's line from Death Trap, just pondering the episode. I don't really know what to say. In a word... surprising! The episode took a completely different turn from where I thought it was going, which had some mixed results. To start off, I have to admit that I thought we were in for a rough ride when I saw the trailer for the episode and saw that it had next to NO action. The Mustafar-like elements seemed cool enough, but I wasn't sure whether these so-called "visions" were gonna keep me entertained for the 22 minute time-span. But only a mere 5 minutes took place in the volcano, which I actually became frustrated about. The visions of Anakin's future flew by like nothing, and they were so well done, that I didn't want it to stop!
After our same-old intro, we saw Anakin and Obi-Wan discussing the recent events on Mortis: Daughter dying, Ahsoka's revival, the Balance of the Force being broken, and whatnot. It was also fairly interesting, and not one of the occasional conversations you get in the Clone Wars that you don't care about. Then Ahsoka popped out of nowhere ("nowhere" means the engine compartment) wearing goggles and carrying a wrench! So it turns out that Ahsoka is a mechanic! You know, I didn't really have a problem with this and I do admit that she looks cool in the outfit, but I can understand why this has frustrated a fair amount of fans. See, this hasn't been established before, and it felt kind of random. After seeing Phantom Menace, we already know that Anakin has a special talent when it comes to machines. He built his own freakin pod-racer out of scraps... as a slave! So why isn't HE working on the ship? Ahsoka, as far as we know, probably only has a limited amount of experience in mechanics. But moving aside from that, we saw Anakin be the first to try out these REALLY cool mini-speeders, which (I believe) were based after early Revenge of the Sith concept drawings. Starwars.com didn't release the original artist, which is a shame, but it didn't affect anything all too much. You could definitely see how driven Anakin was at the beginning of the episode to stop the Son, and it's a little awkward when he joins up with this villain just eight minutes later.
Part two of my review continues in the following comment.

Hello all,
Part two of Anon Reviewer's thoughts on Ghosts of Mortis starts now!
Qui-Gon was once again awesome, but his inclusion was a little off-time: he served his purpose and showed Anakin where to go (the volcano where "all of the darkness is channeled"), but I don't exactly know what to make of his appearance. Moving on, the volcano scene(s) were really awesome: I wished they could go on forever, as while this happens in between the live-action movies, I loved going back and seeing the Emperor (who's name was spoken aloud!) and Alderran's destruction, not to mention Darth Vader! Having these tiny references to the trilogies is really fun, and its a shame its not used very often.
Anakin appeared very much under Son's lure than just believing him. He seemed a lot like Ahsoka last week: just plain creepy and bent on stopping his old master and apprentice). Yes, him believing Son just didn't seem to be appropriate. I understand that he did it to stop all of the pain he was going to cause, but the way his eyes came across was just to weird. That led to my absolute favourite scene with Ahsoka tricking Anakin and stealing his speeder. I couldn't help but think, "Yeah, go Ahsoka!" as she sped off with Anakin and his evil frown in the dust.
The ending was pretty sweet, although I do bemoan that it didn't come anywhere near the epicness of Altar of Mortis. That episode had it all: a great plot, action, and some lovely emotion. You see, Ghosts of Mortis, on the other hand, didn't have any outstanding action, even though the emotion came close to compensating. And for anyone who hasn't seen the episode, stop reading right where you are. I was absolutely shocked at the last couple of seconds. How could everything here on Mortis, being such an eventful set of adventures, but nothing but a dream? And was it that? Because I did notice that all three of our heroes had memories of their adventure on Mortis. So, the question of all that still remains unanswered, is: What is Mortis, and will are heroes ever return? Me, I sure hope so.
IGN Rating: 8.5/10
My Rating: 9.3/10

Fireguy, I totally agree, these late episodes have been pissing me off, I'm sorry but these last two episodes, I totally overrated them, so please just disregard them. I have something to say here addressing Fireguy.
OK dude, sorry we got off on the wrong foot but I somewhat agree with you, this Clone Wars is OK, but nothing compared to the 6 Star Wars movies. BUT, that doesn't mean I will go around cussing at it and giving it a 4/10, if you know what i mean, it's Star Wars for god's sake, Star Wars, whatever it is, deserves at least a 6/10.
I also have to say that season 3 have has not even come close to meeting my expectation, I am SO PISSED OFF BY HOW MANY CHARACTERS Dave Filoni has killed off already, 99, Master Di, Son, Daughter, Father... There were way too many political episodes and too little clone episode. So here is my point, I watch this TV series just because its Star Wars and I constantly pray that there will be better episodes to come, like Landing at Point Rain and others.
Ok, my review:
Lets start with the downsides.
DISSAPOINTING! Dave Filoni, I have one thing for you(excuse my language): WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH YOU! Stop killing evry good character you introduce! I mean seriously! STOP! This episode was a bit rushed, too many events in 20 minutes. Ashley Eckstien(spelling fail) wasn't too good in this episode, and Ahsoka's animation was wierd also. There was barely any action, and the part about the future was totally unnecassry(spelling fail). BTW im not copying Fireguy's review.
This episode also has some upsides.
The biggest for me was Qui gonn's appearance, which I enjoyed greatly, the other was... Uhhhh....LOL can't think of anything else.
Sadly ill give this an overall:
7.5/10
P.S.
Lord Mysterio, I play the Lego Star Wars III website, I have all the characters, include cheat code unlockables, and all the acheivement(spelling fail) and 10,000,000 studs. Oh I CANT WAIT FOR March 22 I WILL SO GET THE GAME!

@anonymous
Thanks anyway for the codes. although i had allready unlocked the characters, your services have been noticed. I know the place where cody is (the planet in 'defnders of piece')but whenever i activate the panel, he isnt unlocked. If anyone does know another way around this problem, please post a comment.
Thank you

I thought this was the clone wars, I am really tired of seeing nothing but jedi. :(
18 February 2011 at 09:17
@StarWars1fan1 im glad your seeing some of this in a similar way, Master Di was kinda cool and 99 has to be one of my favourite characters in this series, ever. Your not copying my review lol by having the same opinion, so dont say stuff like that.
Im glad we solved most of arguments on these episodes and ended up agreeing at least twice now.

Ok, quick follow uo to my review and reply to fireguy,
I said this was disappointing and unnecessary because it now has no connection to Star Wars! When daughter died, if you remember, is when I thought that that was why the Jedi lost the Clone Wars, but now, both the son and the father are dead, which is very disappointing to say the least, I mean hasn't Dave killed enough good characters?
Anyways, thanks Fireguy, bu I must say I dont agree with you 100%, about 50%, and 50% with anonymous, therefore this website will have three main reviewers, a positive reviewer, negative reviewer and in between reviewer.

Lord Mysterio,
I know where Cody is! He's not on the Defenders of Peace planet Maridun, but he's on the Rishi Moon (the moon from season one episode Rookies). Basically, you have to change into Captain Rex and then click on the planet-finder thing where you can jump to different planets. If you move to the left, you'll find Rishi Moon as a bumpy looking mass near the top. Verify that its the right planet and not Vassek or anything, and then get to the moon. If you move to the left, you'll find a double-player station. Use Rex for one of the stations, and either wait for someone as Sargeant Fox or change into Fox instead of Rex and try it that way. So DON'T go to Maridun, its the Rishi Moon.
Glad to be of assistance and hope this works.
