Great episode, great battles! Absolutely splendid! I am very, very pleased with the way the second half of season 3 (season 3.5) is shaping up. After a lackluster first half, season 3 is finally fufilling our wishes of the best season ever. I know that Fireguy dislikes the Clone Wars series, but he says that he only ever liked Rookies and the Mandalore Trilogy is season 2, but he is starting to like a majority of the season 3.5 episodes! The talent of the crew is growing, and everyone is realizing it!

I would love to post an entire review right now, but I'm in kind of a rush and need to get going elsewhere. Look for my review later this weekend, and this time, I PROMISE! :D

Okay, I know we are all in pain about the lose of Echo, which i think everyone is mourning over. But let me review this episode....
I really love Clones, they are the best fighters in the galaxy. So killing off the characters on the Republic side is really getting annoying, Sepratist scums deserve it. All they are doing is adding new Sepratist's to there cause, none for the republic, like..... Savage Opress!
Now i get into this episode. This episode was the full package, as was many this season (sorta). But the thing that i hated the most was the Anakians tactic's, they were amazing, both teams tactics where handled with persiocion, until Echo decided to run in front of a canon and leave Fives to mourn. If they kill Fives next, EVERYONE will be ticked at Filoni, not that we already arent. So here is my point............Dave Filoni should quit his job and work at a garbage plant.

First of all... this is NOT my favorite episode... my least favorite... the WORST of them all... i'm actually crying right now... Echo is dead.

Second of all... I have a toy of Clone Trooper Echo and a bunch of other Star Wars toys... and now... now everytime I play with my Star Wars toys, Echo will be a part of it... he was my most favoritest clone in Star Wars the Clone Wars...

FUCK YOU, DAVE FILONI!

Although it is heartbreaking that Echo had to die, I believe it was necessary. The show can't go on just killing off regular troopers like the 212th one that got cut in half; sacrifices have to be made. Having Echo die a hero was probably more satisfying than having him barely live like the heroes in every other lame TV show.

Either way, I thought this episode was excellent, and by far the best one of Season 3.

my mom agrees with me on this... when she was a kid, cartoon characters were NOT killed off... and this... this killing off the Republic troops is really making me angry. First Droidbait, then Cutup, then Hevy... and now Echo... and only Fives is the last remaining member of Domino Squad... the memories of these soldiers that died for the Republic... ALL the lives lost in the Clone Wars... will be mourned... but at least they died as heroes. Hevy died to save his brothers... Echo died trying to be a hero of the escape... but most importantly... the clones who lost their lifes in the war will continue to live in in our hearts... and in the hearts of their clone brothers.

So much for a happy episode. I cannot believe my eyes and what I am saying here: Fireguy was one of the only people who actually liked this episode. HOLY CRAP! Now, I understand that Echo all meant a lot to us, and I nearly cried when Echo died too. We all know that Filoni is killing off WAY too many characters, and I have to say that I am getting quite ticked off with what he is doing here with the character situation. HOWEVER, and this is a big HOWEVER, what the hell is wrong with all of the hateful comments that say that Filoni was practically born with his head reversed. Yes, Echo died. But did we all shout at Filoni saying "WHAT THE F***ING HELL" when 99 died? The answer to that is NO, NO, and a third NO. The animation is stunning, the voice acting is great, and the action is breathtaking. But then all of a sudden, our favourite clone dies. Of course we're gonna be sad, but I count around 95% of all of the comments on this post saying the same thing: "F*** YOU FILONI!" So please, we get the point. I know no one here (as StarWars1Fan1 clearly stated) "GIVES A FUCK WHAT I SAY", but please here me out on this before pounding me with insults saying that I suck and don't give a s*** about Star Wars.

Wow, I can't believe how many babies are crying over the death of a CLONE. Yes, Echo was my favorite too but don't forget, ALL of these clones end up turning on the Jedi. Besides, I think it added some much needed emotional impact. You don't give two hoots about nameless clones dying in every episode.

And one more thing, it's just a TV SHOW! If you can't handle seeing fictional characters dying in a show about war, then you need to find another show to watch.

n the episode Clone Cadets the trainging course is called "th citedal" and the base they are infiltrating is "the citedal", they left the clues all the way up to it, and in the episode they quoted "Dont make any mistakes or your dead" echo made a mistake. This explains so much..... And lord mysterio i am sorry.

Sip sip sip, mmm this tea is great, hahaha LOL. Ok, I will say this clearly: I am sorry if i offended or insulted anyone in my rage, but, duh, it was a rage. But here is my full review: (am I the first one to review it?) I think so...

This episode was exceptional, the sound, graphics, action, dialogue, mostly everything. I must say, am I the only one that sees that the sound in this episode was much better than all the others. The sound was masterful. In the begging when they were climbing up the big tube, the sound was perfect, there was a small echo, which was pretty awesome and a treat for the ears.
The voice acting was epic also, ashley eckstein and matt lanter were great, and so were the clones. The graphics were amazing, especially when you watch on cartoon network HD on and LED HD TV(in my case), it was eyepopping. The planet design was even better than Mortis,(my opinion), and the battles were great. Some thing we have been craving for the most of this season. They did a great job with Grand Moff Tarkin, who we see the first glimpses of his evil. You must also notice when he and anakin agreed that the jedi sometimes fail to win because of their ways (again, first glimpses of Vader with Tarkin). I feel that its awesome to see Tarkin during the Clone Wars, and lets pray that they do as great of a job on Chewiee in the finale. There is on very minor flaw I noticed, when Anakin's group was moving through the gas tunnel, he had mention something that the slightest electric pulse would ignite the tube, but when Ahsoka scouted ahead and opened the hatch then killed two droids, sparks were falling into the tube, so technically they should have all been incinerated. Now to the most controversial part, Echo's death. I know we are all in pain, but as Admin mentioned in the poll, it gives the series a sense of reality, something it has been lacking for a while. So I believe his death was necessary. Overall, I believe that this half of season 3 made up for the lacking first half.

My rating: 9.0/10

P.S. 14 more days till the release of Lego Star Wars III, can't wait!!

Realy good episode, i must say. They describe the relationship and meanings between Tarkin and Anakin and put in some pretty good action scenes and makes it realy dramatic, and yes like everyone is talking about that the death of Echo is sad but actually i think its a good thing, it describes how terrible war is and what it causes, even for the solidiers. Sure, we all have to go through some sad times in the serie, but thats why the serie is so cool. So everybody just shut up with saying so many bad things about Filoni, TCW and Echos death, sure i think its sad to but thats just how war is.

Okay, can I just say that Echo's death was a shame. But can we just calm down the riot. I know that some of you, including me think that Filoni is now a douche, but what we need to do is look forward to the end of the season.
A quick question. Isn't Filoni just the director and doesn't Lucas himself plan out the episodes? I may have got it wrong, but any way.
My quick review is that it was a decent episode. A good storyline, and well planed out. But there were some flaws. Okay, one flaw. AND I WILL NOT SAY IT BECAUSE I WILL GET BAD COMMENTS!
My rating: 6/10. Minus the 4 marks because.... well you know why.

Sorry for such a late review, but once again I've been busy. LOL need to find another excuse... nah, just kidding, and I'm glad to see that Starwars1fan1 has realized how good this episode is! Seems we're all on the same page now, and that's great. So, without further adu, may I present my review of Star Wars The Clone Wars Episode 319, Counterattack.

The Clone Wars kicking into high gear... now I get what Filoni was saying in his apologetic speech covering the first half of the season. Holy- no wait, can't say what I'd like to do to my own coarse language restrictions. But seriously, the episode was very cool and the action went far beyond satisfying. I fully agree with Starwars1fan1 and while I rewatched the episode I noticed that the sound was quite improved, even with Dolby surround sound theater speakers. The echoes, the laser blasts, the lightsabers igniting at times and even the swoosh of a blade. You even heard the wind go WHOOSH as Sobeck's elite commando droids jumped around. Seriously, WOW.

Okay, in terms of story plot, overall there wasn't much here. It was just the Republic's continued attempt to escape the Citadel. Citadel featured plenty more action, but this episode had something much more... a hook. It kept your eyes glued, almost literally, to the screen. Technically it's not fair, as we all knew something was gonna happen to our heroes due to the title, but I was pushing myself not to scream in anger at Cartoon Network for such stupid long commercial breaks. LOL! We got quite a few confirmations, though, and I believe that covered up for our missing story gaps. For example, we now know for sure that Master Plo Koon did not send Ahsoka on the mission when she screwed up the plan, mistaking a ready-to-blow wall for a dead end. Overall, I'd give our story and cover-ups an 8/10.

Voice acting, voice acting... I know this may be a bust every week as I always say the same thing, but I must stress how much I enjoyed the talents of Ashley Eckstien, Matt Lanter, and of course James Arnold Taylor. I just have to mention this: James Arnold Taylor plays three roles in this trilogy! Obi-Wan, of course, Plo Koon, and the new character Osi Sobeck! He plays all characters extremely well and we are all greatful for his acting this week. Voice acting gets a 10/10 this week.

Action is the next category, and to many the most important. I found that this episode was fairly light on action for the first 14 minutes before kicking into action-heavy mode for a great ending. We mainly endured mazes and twists and turns to the plan, but the battles we saw in between were intense, regardless of the fact that they were basically teasers for the last 4 minutes of the episode. And when it came down to specatacle, the ep didn't disappoint with a huge number of explosions, laser blasts, and far more. If you have been disappointed by the battles of the Clone Wars series, all you need to do is flip to end of the episode and watch on. Battle scenes get a 9.5/10.

And last and unfortunately least, the cons. Its gonna be like the hardest search in the world to pick these little things out, but a review gets dull if it isn't just a little critical. So I must say that a little more action would have been nice (again, I wasn't at all disappointed) and I don't know if Echo's death needed to be so soon. Perhaps he could've died to save Fives or Anakin, perhaps Obi-Wan or even Ahsoka! His death could've been for so much more, not a fool's mission trying to recapture a doomed vessel. Still, for such a great episode, these cons don't mean much at all. The problems I had take a 0.2 off of my rating.

OH. MY. GOD. So many people love Echo. I am glad I am not the only one who loved Echo. Echo was the main reason I ever watched this show. But now that he's gone, I'd wish George Lucas would either fire Dave Filoni or either get him arrested. You freaking GAY head Filoni! GO QUITE AND WORK AT THE GARBAGE PLANT AND HOPE YOU FALL INTO THE TRASH COMPACTER AND ARE UNABLE TO GET OUT!!!

Seriously? "You freaking GAY head Filoni!" What are you? Six? Seriously, you are stupid. So just shut up watch the episodes, and we can all mourn the loss of Echo. Yes, Echo was my favorite clone and the best of the clones. Yes, we hate Filoni and NO, nobody cared so much about 99. He was an old maintenance clone who didn't make it into army and no, he isn't really important but at least he's... errrr.... wherever Echo, Droidbait, Hevy and Cutup went when they died. In honor of Echo, I'm going to buy Season 3 and watch every episode that ever included Echo, INCLUDING this very sad, very terrible, very horrible episode. Screw you Filoni and bring Echo back. If you bring Echo back in Season 4 or something, maybe we'll all forgive you, okay???

I hate all episodes that connect with the Citadel (ep.18, 19 & 20), especially ep.19 Counterattack when Echo dies. Besides, i think this episode is not for children (even in Cartoon Network) when there is a clone trooper cut in half...I know, i know; they censored the scene by closing the cutter-door. But you can hear the trooper's voice at that moment, & children still can imagine that it's terrible to die in that way...

Anyway...All clone troopers from Season 1 Ep.05 Rookies, such as: Echo, Fives, Hevy are my favorite; except Cutup (sorry...poor Cutup!).

I have a feeling that George Lucas will kill all the known clone troopers & Jedis that don't appear in Star Wars Ep.III: Revenge of the Sith, such as: Fives, Rex, Ashoka Tano & Adi Gallia. Hopefully Rex will become a deserter like Cut Lawquane; the one he met on the planet Saleucami. Also, i don't want to see Ashoka dies. I know that Adi Gallia will die at the hand of Grievous & clone commander Cody will survive the clone wars then became Stormtrooper in Galactic Empire.
