OMG, guys! I am so sorry for the lack of episode reviews lately; I've been so busy at work and I haven't really been able to come to the website lately. I'm going to try hard to make it up to you by posting an extended, all new review of this great episode:

Wow! Filoni and his crew are really doing well with the storylines and battles of season 2, keeping them intense and satisfying. I bet that viewers will be surprised to know that this episode is actually the earliest storyline in the entire Clone Wars, happening before both season 1's The Hidden Enemy and the Movie. The opening space battle with spider Separatist admiral Trench was exciting, and I liked Obi-Wan joking around, saying that it wasn't surprising that Anakin had disobeyed orders and hadalready engaged Trench in an open battle. The concept of a cloaked ship was a cool one that hadn't really been explored or taken into consideration for an episode of Star Wars. It was done well, and the visuals of the ship just gliding past Trench's command ship were stunning. The interaction between Yularen and Anakin (this was their first battle together) was fun, with the Admiral chiming in and saying that Anakin was too reckless.

For a villain that Yularen said was pretty much completely invincible, Trench didn't seem all that great. His little "surprise" attack with tracking torpedoes locked onto the ship's magnetic signature had already been revealed earlier in the episode, so that was a bust too. Trench was wise, I'll give him that, but he wasn't the greatest villain this show has made, either (Cad Bane, duh). This was overall a great episode, with a few moderate flaws here and there. Just know that you can expect some great, epic space battles and well done comedy from this episode.
