YAHOO! It finally aired! Man oh man, I have been waiting for this episode forever. And when it aired, I was not at all disappointed. Okay, sure there were one or two flaws, but when you look at the whole picture, this was a truly cinematic episode.

We started off seeing a space battle that blew everything before it out of the water. The effects were stunning and the classic laser blasts were difficult to ignore, not to mention the steady but quick pace of the battle. I had a really good laugh over the beginning dialogue between Obi-Wan and Anakin. For example, I had to Force (ha ha) myself to stop laughing when Ventress chased Obi-Wan instead of Anakin and he said, "Looks like I'm her favourite!" One of the flaws of this episode was that it was a tiny bit rushed. The conversation between Sidious and Dooku about Ventress happened just about one minute into the episode, so the battle had barely started at that point. But nonetheless, Ventress getting betrayed was a powerful moment that certainly shook me to the bones. But we saw that she wasn't ready to give up and she battled Obi-Wan and Anakin with perfect power. Fans will love to know that the fight scenes in this episode are also the best we've seen so far, better than Hunt for Ziro, ARC Troopers, and even Cloak of Darkness in season 1. I definitely applaude the crew for giving us a great experience and a great start to an amazing trilogy of episodes. Do mention that the final lightsaber battle in this episode was fantastic and deserves a round of cheers. Bravo!

P.S. The IGN review is not up yet, but I'll post a comment with the rating as soon as it is. Also, and this might be news to the Administrator as well, episode 13 is called Monster and episode 14 is called Witches of the Mist.

Alright everyone, I'm back with the rating from IGN. It turns out that Eric rated it 8.5/10, which doesn't exactly match his review that describes the episode as near perfect. I was a little surprised that the rating was that low, but I do applaude IGN for giving it a reasonable rating. On the bright side, or perhaps brightER side, IGN's Eric Goldman states that the following two episodes only get better and better.

Brilliant episode, to me, it was the best of the series. Can't wait for the Savage Oppress episodes

One of the best episodes I've seen yet. I LOLed at the conversation between Dooku and Sidious when Sidious told Dooku he'd hate to learn that Dooku's training an apprentice to overthrow him and his reaction is all like "aw shit how did you know?!? Damn, there goes my plans!" And then the conversation between Obi-Wan, Anakin and Ventress. Anakin's like, "She never does." LOL Anakin's one of my favorites in this. Epic episode! All about betrayal and revenge basically. Can't wait to watch the next episode.
