This was a so awesome episode!!!
The story was so gripping and dramatic. The son finaly revealed himself as a sith. It was so epic and cool to watch some fight only with the force instead of lightsabers. I understand now why they call them overlords. :)
Ahsoka looked a bit crazy when she talked and fought against Anakin.
I didn`t understand the dagger so much, but it looks like a cool mystery.
This episode gives you a lot to think about what will happend in the next episodes.
My rating is 9.1/10

Yay! So glad to have another Anon reviewer to compete with! I absolutely love hearing other opinions and yours, my anonymous friend, is very welcome. Starwars1fan1 and I will have more competition for the next few episodes to come, I'm sure. Now, let my review begin.
Altar of Mortis... where to begin, where to begin. And I'm not saying this while I try to remember good bits of the episode. I'm saying this because I can't decide what awesome part of the episode to start with! My god, the episode completely knocked me off my seat... well, almost literally. The plot was superb and it turns out that venturing deeper into this peculiar world is just as mind-blowing as being introduced to it. The little bits of flaws that I could identify were next to nothing: just that the timing was a little off, or an effect sounded too quick or before the act it was supposed to audibly enhance. But that, really, was all I could find out of this extraordinarily strong episode.
The voice acting was very special in this episode, and not once did it drop from expectations. Matt Lanter's performance left pretty much nothing more to be desired, as the emotial scenes were perfectly crafted with this addition. The way Matt portrayed Anakin after he thought Ahsoka was dead and the Father said that there was no hope definitely made the reality that Anakin was literally about to cry feel real. James Arnold Taylor was again great, but my favourite voice acting, like last week's, was from Ashley Eckstien. In Overlords, she superbly deepened her voice to suit Ahsoka's future/potential, but now she managed to portray Ahsoka as an evil, little, devilish Padawan with a sweet little tune to herself. The Dark Ahsoka was a lot like Harley Quinn from Batman: sweet (Rewatch the part where Ahsoka says to Anakin, "He only wants what's best for the universe.) but yet very deadly.
If there was one flaw of Overlords, it was the fact that there was only a scene in the concluding sequence that featured action. You see, Altar of Mortis featured enough action to satisfy all us fans for the entire season, which had been light on battles until episode 12, Nightsisters. We actually got two amazing battles packed in one episode for an explosive ending. Ahsoka vs. Anakin was lots of fun, as we saw both of their weaknesses: Anakin being afraid of accidentally hurting Ahsoka, while she is not quite as experienced with a lightsaber. That's why my mouth literally hung open in awe when she knocked Anakin over and his lightsaber skidded out of his hand. Funny enough (as well), I was rooting for Ahsoka to beat him the entire battle. Why, you ask? I guess its just because I have been waiting to see a more kick-butt Ahsoka since the beginning of season 3. And all of my wishes were beautifully fufilled, if you forget the fact that Ahsoka looked extraordinarily creepy, with her veins blue and all. And of course, the awesomeness (Great english!) didn't stop there. I was also impressed by the fact that Ahsoka easily took on Obi-Wan and Anakin. Now, I really have to say that this is a bit unbelievable, as she just a Padawan for God's sake, but its possible that being brainwashed made her stronger with the Dark Side.
The Father sat out a majority of this episode, unfortunately, as he was one of my favourite characters from Overlords, but the Daughter and Son battling more than made up for it. The epicness (again, good english) was intense and the Daughter was really powerful; more so than I would have expected. Speaking of this beautiful angel, it was thoroughly sad when she died to save her father. The effects were beautiful in her death scene, from her glowing skin fading to the light that was spread into Ahsoka. I'm glad we saw more of the Son, and its so sad that we will only be seeing this figure for another episode. I do hope that we return to Mortis: there is just too much more to be explored.
IGN Rating: 8.5/10 (A drop from the rating of Overlords? I totally disagree!)
My Rating: 9.6/10

WOW. WOW. WOW. WOW. and WOW. This episode is a masterpiece, and I mean it, our friends over at Lucasarts did an amazing job at what I think is making the best Clone Wars EVER! Lets delve into the details:
Altar of Mortis began calmly, Obi Wan piloting the shuttle, Anakin napping, and Ahsoka doing I cant remember what. Anakin's nightmare was great, and I must say that Son was the one who did it to him, I mean he can't dream about Son tempting him to the dark side alone,I bet Son was somewhere nearby altering his dream. The epicness began when Son showed up in their ship out of nowhere and kidnapped Ahsoka, starting an incredible chase between Son and the shuttle. Anakin drove like himself, crazy and fast, but coudn't catch son and as usuall crashed. Ah reminds us of good times, Bounty Hunter pursuit in Attack of the Clones may be the first time we saw Anakin's wild piloting, maybe not. Prove me wrong:) Oh well back to the review. We could see Anakin was in a minor state of panic or something, he was worried, hurried, and wasn't at all listening to Obi Wan or agreeing with him, therefore they split. This was a very well done scene, the enviroment was incredible, and fitting to where they were. Anakin began his journey to Son's stronghold or whatever you want to call it. We then saw the scene almost everyone had been dying to see, DARK AHSOKA!!!! I was soooooooooooooooo relieved to see that she had not joined the dark side willingy, but had been poisened, which is close to what most of us guessed in Admin's poll where the winning vote said that she would be possessed. Obi Wan made it to Father's temple just as Son's shoking attack on Father began. His Force lightning was beast. Now the best part, Anakin Vs. Ahsoka, now this had a great resemblance to, guess what, Anakin Vs. Obi Wan. WOW. The duel was intense, very intense, and I have to say its my favorite lightsaber duel of season 3 yet! We finally understood the title of the episode when daughter took Obi Wan to the Altar of Mortis to get the Dagger to stop Son. A bit afterwards, the action exploded, as Ahsoka took on Anakin and Obi Wan both and the showdown between Son and Daughter began. WOW(again) we got to see Ahsoka in action with her dual sabers, which was mindblowing. Every aspect there was amazing, the enviroment, the dialogue, and the music was enough to satisfy even Fireguy, LOL :D. The ending was awesome. Now, who remembers Hevy? He sacrificed himself, and that made him my favorite character(added to his gun :P) Daughter did teh same, sacraficed herself fer her father, which was just MINDBLOWING TO AN UNBELIEVING DEGREE! Her death means a LOT to the Star Wars Saga, and here is why (note this is just a theory). Ok, maybe her death, which shattered the balance of the force, is the reason that the Jedi lost the Clone Wars. I mean, remember what the Father said: "As the balance on this planet has been broken, soon shall war escalate in your galaxy...the sith have grown stronger" (Or something close to that.)What do you think?
Here is the verdict, this episode is awesome, every aspect of it, voice acting, graphics, music, plot, action, EVERYTHING.
Plot: 9.5/10
Graphics: 9.8/10
Voice acting: 9.8/10
Action: 10/10 (A duel to a degree of intensity I havent seen sice 2005)
everything else: 9.8/10
Overall: 9.9/10 WOW Highest I have ever given for any episode
P.S. Who thinks the new BrickTuts is AMAZING! Great job Admin!

Well........ I'm a bit to lazy to write an essay like the other people but I must say that I did not like this episode. If you want me "full review" just wait until Fireguy789 writes one because I have read his reviews and they sum up pretty much all of what I would have said.

The clone wars series is coming to an end :(
So because of mortises son anakin turns dark... i blame mortis for bringing
anakin here first because if this hadent happened then we wouldnt have the empire or anything... And everything would be a happy ending.

WELL i mean he woudnt have shown anakin the future ...

what are you talking about there not going to end the season now on wookiepedia it says there are 6 seasons planned and Anakin may not have believed him like why would he. The Son tried to trick him by turning into his mother. But anyways that episode was really good it was very entertaining and i was surprised when i looked to see that there were only 6 minutes left also for once they had someone who was a main character killed other times it would be a clone or Jedi you see for one episode but this time it was a a character with more screen time. One of the reasons this episode was entertaining was that you were always expecting something to happen to ahsoka.
I give this episode 4.5/5 Stars

This episode was amazing! The entire thing from the beginning with Anakin's nightmare seeing himself turning into the Son. Then the Son captures Ahsoka, turns her evil and they're all fighting each other. This episode showed some bonds and caring feelings between a Master and his Student. When I heard Anakin shout "NOOOOOO!" when the Son temperarily killed Ahsoka, I knew Anakin cared about Ahsoka. I actually felt kind of bad for Anakin, seeing that Ahsoka had been his Padawan since the movie that came out in theaters. If she were my Padawan, I would have shouted "NOOOOOO!" too and ended up getting blown back with the Force.
