Sorry for being late, but I currently have some personal problems - as some of you may have noticed by my inactiveness at "BrickTuts.com".
27 March 2011 at 10:32
we dont mind all i have to say is A M A Z I N G ! ! ! ! ! ! !
27 March 2011 at 10:32
Eh, it was ok.
Just another excuse to end a series of episodes. The finale could have been better.
27 March 2011 at 10:43
that was awesome!!! i mean that was the best episode yet i hope the wookie are one of the main characters now
27 March 2011 at 10:47
The use of chewbacca here was rather pointless in my opinion. They could have used ANY other wookie, but once again, I think they just used him to try and bait the millions of skeptics of this series. Its an old ploy, it would have worked with the Citadel and Tarkin (Citadel episodes where great) but it doesn't work so well here.
As with the previous episode, I thought this one was going to be awful, but it was on the line between bad and average. It has some ups, and it has some downs. So, im going to go ahead with the review now.
I think whats funny about this is how all the Jedi are from the matrix now, although they seem to be completely untrained (except ashoka) they all seem to be able to kick ass via karate at any given point. It just doesn't look right, I can except the kung-fu stuff with Jedi Knights and Masters, but this is over-doing it. Seriously...
Another odd thing about this episode is how the only prisoner they bought down for that second round was a single wookie (Chewbacca). Whats the point in letting a single prisoner go, if your going to gun them down the minute their dropped. Thats just pointless, it gives them no time to escape and you might as well just shoot them while their in the cage. I personally just see this as Filoni not willing to have random prisoners killed in the crash, man up and learn that civilians/the innocent unnarmed die in wars to :/
A great thing about this episode was the fight sequences, although weird, the karate stuff was cool, and Filoni and his team score points for using that Trandoshan shotgun thing, which happens to be one of my favourite Star Wars weapons (Republic Commando FTW!). Now all we need is a trandoshan pulse rifle and my dreams are complete :D
The end battle between all the wookies and the Trandoshans was by far the best battle in this series, it just seemed to flow far better then the others and it felt a lot more intense. I especially like how they showed the extreme rivalry between the Trandoshans and Wookies. This episode also made that Bounty Hunter ship (whatever its called, Halo or something) look awesome.
Overall, 5/10, average episode, good action, rather crummy plot and some exaggerated sequences. Watch if your a Star Wars fan, other people might as well give it a miss. I also continue to insist Chewbacca shouldn't have been used in this episode.
For a finale, pretty bad however.
28 March 2011 at 12:01
One of the best Season finales in my opinion, dispite what Fireguy here has to say. I was beginning to think that the Trandoshans here were going to actually kill everyone. That is, of course, until Chewbacca the Wookiee arrived.
I'm guessing that Wookiees and Trandoshans however are worst enemies. It would seem that when the Wookiees arrived to help, they seemed focused on killing the Trandoshans. And to be honest, I thought the Trandoshans were immune to those Jedi Mind Tricks.
Overall, 10/10, excellent episode, great action, great plot here and some fight. I thought they should have used more of Chewbacca in this show.
For a finale, just one word, maybe more: PERFECT AND EXCELLENT!

it was cerianly a good episode and a worthy ending to the two parter but it wasnt really finale stuff for a better finale maul and opress should have shown up and it should have connected to the previous episodes(secrets revealed) together for a thrilling climax

**Note that this is a two-part review of Padawan Lost and Wookiee Hunt**
Hey, all! I'm gonna try something different this week, because as you know, there was no review last week! I'm creating a review that views both Padawan Lost and Wookiee Hunt as one longer episode, with voice acting, story plot, and cons viewed side by side. Enjoy, everybody, my final review on the site!
To start off, I thought that the idea of Chewbacca in the finale was very cool! I don't think I've mentioned that before, but anyway, it's not everyday you see an Original Trilogy character appear in the Clone Wars (although with Tarkin and views of the Emperor and Darth Vader, it certainly is starting to seem so). The mastery started with the voice acting of him, which I'll cover later in the review, but for now I have to say that bringing Peter Matthew back to voice the Wookiee was a great touch! I know exactly why they were dropping Chewy off, and that goes way back in Star Wars storyline and novel history. Ryan Lee, the following will answer your question as to why the Wookiees were so vicious towards the Trandoshans. These two species share a star system that consists of both the Trandoshan homeworld and Kashyyyk, the land of the Wookiees. The lizard hunters would often raid Kashyyyk and kill Wookiees for sport, using special adaptations such as a keen sense of smell and the ability to regrow legs. However, this raises a question has to why the Trandoshans were doing their hunting on the moon Wasskah instead of Kashyyyk itself. I personally dunno, but Fireguy seems to know a lot more about Star Wars back-story than me and perhaps he can help me understand. The Trandoshans probably captured Chewbacca on Kashyyyk and brought him to Wasskah. Anywho, enough about Chewie and onto more about the story.
The introduction of the episode brought us back to an ongoing battle we've been seeing throughout the series: the war on Felucia. We finally saw it end in Padawan Lost, as after episodes Holocron Heist and Bounty Hunters in season 2 we thought we'd never see the end. But Plo Koon and Master Skywalker have finally liberated the system, so maybe we'll see some more battles on Malastare or perhaps Byss (I'd personally love to see some more of the incredible Dathomir landscape). The episode proceeded with Ahsoka being trapped and brought back to Wasskah in a brand-new ship to the show, the Trandoshan Hunting Transport. The design of it was very cool. The introduction to the three new Jedi younglings was done well: slowly and dark, as they had been taken during the night. I found that the fact that only a fire was burning as Kaliffa told the tale was very illuminating and a real treat, like a campfire roast. But now that I look back on it, it would've been nice if we could've had a flashback playing on screen as Kaliffa told the story. Whatever, it would've just been a bonus. Jumping ahead, the hunting scenes were fast paced and very enjoyable, unfortunately toned down in awesomeness due to poor voice acting. The one part I found particularly good in terms of voice acting was the death of Kaliffa, which was very, VERY powerful overall and the saddest death in the entire season. The only thing missing from Wookiee Hunt was a death. Overall, story plot gets a 10/10.

**Due to the character limit, this will become a three-part review LOL**
Voice acting was mild, not great, not bad, and just good. I say that because the voice acting in Padawan Lost was half-half. Gwendoline Yeo did an AMAZING job portraying Kaliffa, and O-Mar and Jinx were very well done as well. The design of all three characters was cool too. But what really bugged me were the voice actors of the Trandoshans. The voice actor of the King Trandoshan's son was just horrible. The script didn't help either, with his father telling him "Go, kill her and get your first Jedi kill" and the son saying, "I will kill her with my own hands" among stupid conversations between the two. The other voice actors, except for Ashley Eckstien (she did not at all do Ahsoka's electrified scream properly), were alright. Wookiee Hunt was VERY awesome with voice acting, mainly because Ashley Eckstien improved and infinitely increased her talent, and because of Peter Matthew's appearance. Jinx also had a lot more lines in this ep and was particularly comical in certain scenes. With Chewbacca, I hear Filoni and the crew used original 1977, 1980, and 1983 recorded noises along with some of Matthew's newest recordings (Matthew has now learned to mimic numerous animals!!). Voice acting gets a 7.8/10.
Animation is a new category to celebrate the finale review. In the case of this episode, I was astonished, as I have been with the entire season 3. Throughout all 22 episodes, I was breathtaken by the visuals, the reality of danger, the landscapes, the character designs... I could go on forever. I loved the little creatures that were added to the set of the episode, as they made Wasskah so imaginative yet real. The moss on the trees added to the effect and improved every moment. They definitely enhanced the final battles and various scenes throughout the ep. Animation, visuals, and graphics get 11/10.

Action was a definite treat. How else could you end the season, if not with an epic ending? We could've had Rex or Ahsoka die, but I'm glad they stuck with a great one-on-one Ahsoka fight scene. I swear to God, she has some kick-butt martial arts skill. The way she took down that Trandoshan was incredible and the moments leading up to his death were heart-pounding: when I heard Ahsoka say "Don't!" I knew that we were going to have a big finish. And what a big one indeed: Ahsoka's first murder- actually, third. She has already killed the king Trandoshan's son and Osi Sobeck. Still, this was probably the most dramatic. The action in Padawan Lost rocked as well, with the beginning setting the bar so high and the rest of the episode able to keep up. The shot of Kaliffa getting shot in the back was striking, and the way the music was so slow and sad and you could hear the King Trandoshan screaming in the background... oh, it was just a moving scene with such a flow of emotions. The laser blasting and arrival of the Wookiees just made everything even better. Action gets a 10/10.
One last new category: the "Sweet Extras". Here I mention what I really enjoyed and what stood out as just pure awesomeness: meeting Sugi again (she's just SO cool!), Chewbacca's appearance, the sniper scene, Ahsoka's friendship with Kaliffa, Jinx, and O-Mar, Kaliffa's death, and of course the ending, which had Yoda looking out with sunset behind at Ahsoka and Anakin walking side by side. This was very touching and made my day. You saw at the beginning of the series how Yoda was saying how "twice the trouble, they have become". Now look, they are like siblings, helping each other out in the times of greatest need. What a way to end the season. "Sweet Extras" add a 0.4 on to my rating.
And now for the cons. I feel the same way as Fireguy: Chewbacca wasn't needed, but at the same time, I loved his appearance. The voice acting wasn't great in Padawan Lost, but was astonishing in Wookiee Hunt. These cons are so little and unimportant that they take a mere 0.1 off of my rating.
IGN Rating: ? (Unposted until April 2nd)
My Rating: 9.4/10 (That end scene... too good)
TOTAL SEASON RATING: 9.3/10

Does anybody have a link to a season four trailer?
1 April 2011 at 17:16
i hope there is a season 4 but anyway the episode was great. i posted another long comment but it got erased
1 April 2011 at 17:18
this episode was awesom. the best part is when a wookie shoots a trandoshan and the other 1 is all like lucaren!? and gets headshotted as jinx moves his cover away
1 April 2011 at 17:21
her eyes her eyes make the stars look like they aint shinin. BITCH!
2 April 2011 at 05:28
Here is the official Season 4 Trailer from Cartoon Network:
http://www.starwars.com/video/view/001246.html
This is what I get from it:
-a stork ark about Grievous' backstory (hopefully)
-a battle of Mon Calamari involving the species of the same name
-Anakin's abduction by Dooku, a hunt for him involving Padme
-something to do with Plo Koon
and much more!
I hope the next season is just like the second half of season 3, which in my opinion was close to perfect. Hopefully it can stay consistent with episodes of that quality, unlike season 3, which started off pretty poorly but finished with a big bang.

Well, this episode lacked plot, but had good battle scenes. I'd give it a six out of ten. It could have been seven but they had to drag Chewbacca in.
Whole series: 6.5/10
The first two and last 7 or so were good, but the rest were crap.
2 April 2011 at 13:03
Can anyone see the warrior in the season 4 teaser fighting against grievous. I think it is a kaleesh.
4 April 2011 at 06:47
Grievous gets stabbed by a lightsaber held by a gungan in Season 4
4 April 2011 at 08:29
gungans are over used and most people don't like them.
4 April 2011 at 18:29
OMG what happened to the other two younglings?! I am dying to know!
6 April 2011 at 13:44
I like gungans.
10 April 2011 at 13:04
Did anyone see the final scene with Yoda looking on as Anakin & Ashoka walked off? Was that supposed to imply anything about Season 4?
12 April 2011 at 18:26
"her eyes her eyes make the stars look like they aint shinin. BITCH!" Who the heck are you referring to? If you are refurring to Ahsoka, then STFU man!
7 May 2011 at 11:38
Kinda good, but should have been better for an episode that ends season 3
"Grievous gets stabbed by a lightsaber held by a gungan in Season 4"
Wait...WHAT?!
13 May 2011 at 17:18
:O Did any of you peoples notice after the evil Trandoshan guy said: " A valliant effort little younglings, especially you Togruta. " Ahsoka growled at him! Just like the native togrutas do! :O :O :O
